Strengths

  • One of the few standalone inpatient hospice units in metro Atlanta

  • Pediatric hospice services available

  • VA partnerships for veteran patients

  • Emergency kit (E-kit) provided to home care patients

  • Translation services available

  • Medicare and Medicaid certified. Most private insurance accepted.

Weaknesses

  • Inpatient unit is for acute symptom crises only — not permanent long-term stay

  • Patients must medically qualify to remain inpatient per Medicare/Medicaid rules

  • Funeral costs are not included in services

  • Certain locations may not be accepting new residents

Strengths

  • Atlanta's only Jewish hospice — open to all faiths

  • Very high staff-to-patient ratio (~30 staff for ~50 patients)

  • Use holistic care: physical, emotional, spiritual, and social support

  • Access to the Danny Sklar Palliative Care Program (board-certified physicians)

  • Bereavement support for families after patient passes

  • Medicare, Medicaid, and most insurance accepted.

  • Non-profit organization, therefore focuses on care rather than profit

Weaknesses

  • Home-based only, no standalone inpatient facility

  • Small organization; capacity is intentionally limited (~50 patients)

  • May have waitlists given limited patient capacity

  • Geographic service area may not cover all Atlanta suburbs

Strengths

  • Wide geographic reach — 6 offices covering metro Atlanta and North Georgia

  • Palliative care offered alongside hospice services

  • Interdisciplinary team: nurses, physicians, social workers, chaplains, and aides

  • Bereavement and grief support for families after patient passes

  • Annual memorial services hosted by each team location

Weaknesses

  • Home-based only, no standalone inpatient facility

  • For-profit organization

  • BBB lists as "Not Rated", meaning limited third-party accreditation data publicly available

  • Relatively newer organization (est. 2018) — less established track record than older hospices
